MTF Summer Update

Come and join us for #UKMAW2023: 6-12th November

Come and Join the MTF and BAPEN for #UKMAW2023 to help raise awareness and tackle, preventable and disease-related malnutrition and dehydration.

The MTF has a focus on older people and BAPEN has a focus on disease-related malnutrition.

#UKMAW Call to action

We must continue to work together to raise awareness of preventable malnutrition, start conversations about malnutrition and use tools to identify people at risk more quickly. We all need to look out for local people in our community, neighbours, friends, carers, and family members, all of whom may be at risk.

We can be stronger together if we all play our part
Time is marching on – the end of the summer holidays is now in sight and there are lots of plans to be made for you to take part in #UKMAW2023 which is being held this year between 6th and 12th November 2023.

How you can get involved?
Ask Look Listen

For #UKMAW2023 we are continuing to focus on ‘Ask, Look, Listen’ to encourage people to start conversations and we are asking you:

  • to raise awareness of undernutrition and start conversations with older people about food and drink,
  • to identify older people who are struggling, who seem vulnerable and those who are experiencing loneliness or may be isolated,
  • identify those who have health problems or are struggling with activities of daily living and those who are finding it difficult to plan, shop, cook or access food.

Please include a short introduction and image - you can either attach a link or attach a file.
