The Nutrition Clock

As You Get Older It’s Time to Check You Are Eating Enough

Recognising the signs of being at risk of under-nutrition can be a challenge. The Nutrition Clock has been developed with healthcare professionals at the University of Manchester and older people to raise awareness. It helps people recognise the early signs of under-nutrition risk and should be used regularly by older people, their family and friends and health care professionals. Under-nutrition leads to poorer health outcomes, delays in recovery from illness and longer periods in hospital. Risk factors include health problems, unmet care needs and social isolation.
